This program welcomes dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and crossbreeds. It is a certification initiative where dogs undergo evaluation in simulated everyday situations within a relaxed and non-competitive environment. Dogs that complete the Good Dog K9 Citizen Assessment are recognized as reliable family and community members, receiving a certificate in acknowledgement of their achievement. This certificate holds value in various settings such as restaurants, cafes, boarding facilities, and with prospective landlords, as well as at dog parks, among others.

To enrol, dogs need to exhibit confidence. It's important to note that this scheme doesn't address behavioural insecurities. If your dog has behavioural concerns, please discuss alternative options with us first. It may be advisable for your dog to undergo more tailored behaviour work before attempting this program.
