Special Needs Pets

All pets need special care and love. Disabled pets often require a little extra
time and energy, especially as the pet gets older and the disabilities increasingly
become worse. We are dedicated to providing care to those pets needing that
little bit of extra attention in their own home, where they will feel
most used to.

We can provide both "Special Needs Day Care" whilst you are at work or
vacation care whilst you are on holiday.

Special Needs Pets are those who:

-have a physical disability
-have a chronic or terminal illness
-are blind or deaf
-are recovering from a serious injury
-recently had surgery and need post-operative care
-are elderly and frail
-nursing pet with kittens/puppies.

Caring for pets with special needs is not a burden - it can be a richly rewarding experience. We can continue your ongoing care for your pet whilst you are away. We will continue to work closely with your veterinary surgeon/clinic, keep up regular vet visits (if required) and update you via email or text of any changes.

Special Needs services include:

• Administering subcutaneous fluids and injections (including insulin)

• Administering oral medications

• Obtaining a stool sample or a free-catch urine sample

• Cleaning wounds or surgical sites

• Delivering medication from your vet to your home

• Bringing your pet to veterinary appointments

• Feeding and medication through syringes

• Working with your vet to care for pets that have been diagnosed with terminal conditions.

Bringing your pet home from a veterinary clinic can be both stressful and overwhelming. Whether your pet is recovering from surgery, short-term or chronic medical conditions, we offer compassionate, loving, and quality care. Your pet may need multiple daily medications, treatments, feedings, injections and nursing care that often proves very time consuming and that may conflict with your busy day or work hours. Our flexible hours will alleviate these problems and make your pet feel comfortable during the recovery period. You can return to work or your regular daily activities without worry knowing that we will supplement the treatment and aftercare provided by your veterinarian.
