Training & Lessonz
Welcome, we believe that dogs have a place in society. Like humans, to fulfill their potential they must learn the order of things, conform where required and express themselves productively. Only by teaching humans and animals each other’s language can we hope to get them communicating correctly and coexisting harmoniously. We work with dogs to train them to do the things we need and humans to teach them how to care for and relate to their pets. The techniques, tools and methodologies we use vary dependant on each situation, animal or human.
We help both dog and human to find trust and kindness in each other. We are not dog behaviorists, whisperers or even counselors! We are experienced dog communicators. We simplify animal and human languages and teach you and your dog how to respond to each others basic needs. Learning these languages is the direct root to understanding and harmonious living.

The Homely Petz process is simple. First we gather an understanding of the whole picture of the dog and human relationships. Then we develop a clear plan for improvement, finally we tutor and assist in making changes to bring confidence and create a state of togetherness.

HARMONY
Our evaluation phase includes a questionnaire followed by an assessment. Here we assess the holistic situation within which your dog lives. We include relationship, environmental, enrichment and nutritional considerations.
Evaluate
A customised plan details the findings of the assessment and makes recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
Improvement is supported through provision of one of these sessions:
One on one training with you and your dog for behavior modification and obedience training. Takes place at your home in garden or nearby field area or can take place at field area on our facility (all weather permitting).
Dog Introduction (1 day) Designed to introduce you to the joys of dog interaction, includes instruction on nutrition, behaviour, toilet habbits, handling, excercise, medical issues, basic commands etc. (Full 8 hrs devoted to handler & dog)
Puppy (4 hours) Introduction - Provides dog and handler with boundaries, the rules to follow and detailed crate training tutoring
Package 1 (3 days) Basics - Aimed at dealing with specific issues like, leash training, sit & stay commands, socialisation etc. (2 hrs devoted to handler)
Package 2 (5 days) Reinforcement - Provides additional time for practice of basics and introduction of more complex commands (4 hrs devoted to handler)
Package 3 (10 days) Extended - Gives time for special commands to be included and allows solid reinforcement of basics (8 hrs devoted to handler)
Package 4 (15 days) Prolonged - designed for dealing with specific issues and for dogs that have not responded well in their homes (16 hrs devoted to handler)
